PINHOLE SELFIES

A selfie is probably the most popular type of photo in modern times. These days everyone has a camera in his or her pocket and a quick snapshot of one self is made each day in uncountable amounts. The photographic technology we have today makes it very easy for us to snap an image of ourselves and share it with the world by just pressing a button. Things were not as easy and fast at the very beginning, when a camera obscura was used to take the first photo ever. By mixing modern culture with the oldest photographic technology I reimagined what selfies could have looked like at the beginning of photographic history.

Pinhole selfies is one of my most successful and popular art projects so far. It went viral in 2015 and was mentioned by various international media channels, such as Endgadget and BBC.
